Broadstone is a thriving area and still affectionately known as “The Village”. Its geographical location is ideal being within a short distance of Dorset’s open countryside yet easily accessible to the coastal towns of Poole and Bournemouth which are approximately three and eight miles respectively.
Poole is renowned for its natural Harbour which provides excellent sailing and leisure facilities whilst the town itself offers comprehensive shopping amenities.
The neighbouring town of Bournemouth is also of commercial importance with a wide range of leisure and entertainment facilities including the Bournemouth International Centre and, of course, it’s popular sandy beaches.
Both towns offer mainline railway stations with connections to London (Waterloo). The A31, which links to the M27 and M3, is also easily accessible.
Broadstone itself has proved to be extremely popular both as a retirement area and for families seeking the highly respected educational facilities together with Poole Grammar school and Parkstone Grammar school which are both close by.
The Broadway has a range of modern shops, banks and building societies whilst other local amenities include doctors and dentist surgeries, library, churches of principal denominations, leisure centre and well known 18 hole championship golf course.
